About the speaker:

Edwin Cheung

Edwin is a Principal Program Manager of the China Cloud Innovation Center (CCIC) Customer Advisory Team (CAT) at Microsoft Asia-Pacific Research & Development Group.  Edwin is based in Hong Kong and has over 20 years’ experience in computer software industry. Edwin graduated from London University UK, holding Computer Science B.Sc. degree. Edwin joined Microsoft at 2000 and worked as an Architect at Microsoft Services for 10 years, focusing on Microsoft Application Platform technologies including .NET, ASP .NET, BizTalk, SharePoint, SQL, WCF/WF, EAI and ALM. He joined the CCIC CAT team in 2010 and played the role as a senior technical Architect on Microsoft Cloud technologies including Windows Azure, SQL Azure, and Private/Public/Hybrid Cloud architecture and design, and engaging with customers to deliver Azure and public cloud projects in Hong Kong, mainland China and Australia, and as speaker in technical events and seminar such as TechEd China, TechDays Hong Kong and Asia Cloud Summit etc.

Winnie Cui

 

 

Winnie Cui is a Senior Research Connection Manager at Microsoft Research Asia (MSRA) and is responsible for promoting, expanding and championing academic collaborations between MSRA and top-tier universities in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore. Since joining Microsoft China in 2005, she has served in various positions, including acting as a Principal Solution Manager, where she was responsible for accelerating Microsoft Information Technology Group’s Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM) to promote state-of-the-art technologies and platforms across multiple Microsoft subsidiaries, as well as helping Microsoft ecosystem partners learn and benefit from leading technologies. Winnie Cui also played a role as a Greater China IT Manager, leading team strategy and execution in alignment with regional and Microsoft headquarter business goals, and actively engaging in senior leadership discussions with key stakeholders and industry customers. Prior to joining Microsoft, she worked at GE Healthcare as a Global Operation Excellence Lead. Winnie Cui engaged in postdoctoral research at the University of Southern California and has MS and PhD degrees in biomedical engineering from the University of Memphis in the United States.
